Question 1: I need a wireless network adapter with a CD drive. What if I lack a CD drive?

Question 2: When it sees my 5ghz network, why does it refuse to connect and only connect to the 2.4ghz network?

Answer 2: The simple reason is that 2.4GHz usually has better signal strength than 5GHz. Windows tends to do this. Most consumer routers will not send a signal to the endpoint to switch to 5GHz. You can solve this problem by visiting the advanced adapter property to see if it can be set to “preferred 5GHz”.

Question 3: My desktop doesn’t have a network card, only connects wired. Will this enable wireless connection or is it just a booster?

Answer 3: Yes this will use a USB port to provide your with a wireless network adapter.
