Product description
SIIG HDMI 1080p IPTV Encoder for H.264 or H.265 Video Live Streaming with Loop Out (CE-H27511-S1)
IPTV stands for Internet Protocol Television, which uses internet technology to stream video content. Compared to traditional television, viewers are no longer limited by a predetermined schedule and can decide what they want to watch and when they want to watch it. IPTV encoders play an important role in the process of distributing video content to online viewers. If your business relies on IPTV and video streaming, having a high-quality encoder is a worthwhile investment that will help you stream and watch online video content. SIIG’s 1080p HDMI IPTV Encoder (CE-H27511-S1) is designed for both hobbyists and professionals.
Characteristics
Multiple Video Encodes: This IPTV Encoder supports multiple video encodings such as basic H.264, mainstream H.265, and MJPEG/JPEG quality. Full HD Resolution with Loop Out: HDMI input supports resolution at a maximum code rate of up to 1080p 60Hz 4:4:4 8 bit, plus an HDMI video loop output, so you can connect to another display to monitor the video content being streamed. For Multiple Protocols and Platforms: Supports RTSP (Real-time Streaming Protocol), HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) / RTMP (Real-time Messaging Protocol), RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol), UDP (User Datagram Protocol), and mainstream video platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Twitch and many more. Advanced Settings: This encoder supports both CBR (Constant Bit Rate) and VBR (Variable Bit Rate) encoding for streamers to choose from to determine the quality of their streams. The maximum code rate is up to 40Mbps (main code stream is 40M and sub-code stream is 8M).
Connections and applications
IPTV content distribution requires several steps and devices. First, there is the video source, such as a streaming camera, DSLR, streaming set-top box, media player, or computer. Video recorded by a camera is uncompressed, so the file size is huge, making video distribution over the Internet not feasible.
Secondly, this is where the IPTV encoder comes in. It takes the video content from the video source, whether it is a live recording or an uncompressed pre-recorded video file, and encodes it for streaming over the Internet.
Thirdly, once the video is encoded, it is usually stored on a web server or uploaded to live platforms, such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, Ustream, etc.

Excellent audio compatibility
SIIG's CE-H27511-S1 encoder supports multiple audio encoding formats including AAC, AAC+, AAC++, AC3, MP2 and MP3. It also supports analog audio extraction and analog audio embedding.
Major supported platforms
Once the video is encoded and compressed to a more manageable file size and quality level, it is ready to be uploaded to a web server or video streaming platform. Users must choose a video streaming protocol to send the video file, which must then be split into fragments to be sent to the platforms and reassembled on viewers' devices.
There are multiple video streaming protocols and SIIS CE-H27511-S1 supports the ones most preferred by streamers, such as RTSP (Real-time Streaming Protocol), HLS (HTTP Live Streaming)/RTMP (Real-time Messaging Protocol), RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol), UDP (User Datagram Protocol).
