The Kidde Smart Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector and Indoor Air Quality Monitor, WiFi-enabled, Alexa-enabled, Hardwired Device with Battery Backup, Voice and App Alerts, model P4010ACSCOAQ-WF, uses photoelectric sensor technology to detect visible fire particles, associated with smoldering fires, and an electrochemical sensor to detect carbon monoxide. The Kidde Smart Combination Alarm alerts you by sounding an 85-decibel alarm with a voice alert that announces “Fire! Fire!” or “Warning! Carbon Monoxide!” The Kidde Smart Combination Alarm connects to your home’s wiring using standard 120V AC power voltage and provides battery backup in the event of a power outage. The built-in lithium backup battery lasts the full 10-year life of the alarm, so you’ll never have to replace a battery. Real-time notifications are provided through the Kidde app, so your family and friends—even your pet sitter—can monitor your home’s air quality and receive alerts about the presence of smoke or CO, high humidity levels that can lead to mold, or total volatile organic compounds (TVOC). Setup is easy—simply download the Kidde app and scan the QR code on the back of the combination alarm. You can also use voice commands to check the connection and status of your detector by pairing it with Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and select iPhone and Android smart devices. The ring-shaped LED light indicator alerts you to the unit’s operating status: red = smoke, fire, or CO danger, amber = malfunction, and green = normal operation. Test-Hush button silences temporary nuisance alarms, tests unit for proper operation, and silences a low battery or end-of-life beep (up to 24 hours at a time for up to 7 days). Capable of hard-wired interconnection with other select Kidde alarms for whole-house activation – when one alarm sounds, they all sound**.
