This DIMM is manufactured using raw cards developed for wide industrial use as reference designs. Use of these common design files minimizes electrical variation between vendors. DDR4 SDRAM SODIMM modules provide a flexible, high-performance 8-byte interface in a small footprint. The DIMM is designed for use in applications operating at 1200 MHz or 1333 MHz clock speeds and achieves high-speed data transfer rates of 3200 Mbps. Prior to any access operation, the device CAS latency and operation type/duration/burst must be programmed into the DIMM via address inputs A0-A15 (1Gx8) and I/O inputs BA0, BA1, BG0, BG1 using the mode register setup cycle. The DIMM uses serial presence sense implemented through a serial EEPROM using a standard IIC protocol.
