DisplayPort is a new digital display interface standard introduced by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA). Defines a digital audio/video interconnect intended for use between a computer and monitors, or computers and home theater systems. Like HDMI, in that it supports digital audio and video signals, DisplayPort is geared more toward the computer market, where HDMI dominates the home theater market. Tripp Lite DisplayPort cables support a maximum bandwidth of 10.8 Gbps, as well as DPCP (DisplayPort Content Protection), HDCP, and resolutions up to 1080p. Available in 6 foot, 10 foot and 15 foot lengths.
